The additional storage containers can be used for basically any kind of food that you want to store on medium- to long-term basis. They can be used as regular storage boxes on a shelf or within the fridge or freezer to save food which has to be cooled. Most foods can be vacuumized. Exceptions are soft cheeses, mushrooms, and garlic. Vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and Brussel sprouts should first be dried and blanched. If you are unsure whether your food type can be stored inside the additional storage container, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you out. For an indication of improved expiration times, please consult this table.
